As a member of our fast moving Software Engineering team, you will create groundbreaking technology to enhance our supply building capabilities for new and existing products.

In this role you will get to:
  • You will team up with a group of fellow software developers and a Technical Product Manager, with the goal to integrate a large number of airline APIs into an API platform while achieving a harmonized level of functionality and content across all integrated airline APIs.
  • Together with your fellow software developers, you will further build up the functional capabilities of our platform in the areas of flight search, booking, payment, and servicing, and expand those as the capabilities of airline APIs increase.
  • As Elixir Software Engineer, you will be part of our Software Engineer circle and participate in decisions related to the improvement of our Elixir code base and K8s infrastructure.
Who We Are Looking For
If you have...
  • Production experience in general backend development
  • Any relevant experience with Elixir (whether in a production environment or from pet projects)
  • Passion for clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Good understanding of functional programming concepts and concurrency problems
  • Solid knowledge of the principles for building highly scalable, distributed systems
  • Experience with Phoenix (or the desire to learn it quickly)
  • Solid understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, asset loading, caching, REST, Websocket)
  • Good understanding of APIs and proficiency with data exchange formats and protocols
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English (English is the company’s official language)
  • Relocate to Berlin.

How Can You Stand Out?
You’ll reach the top of the list if in addition to the above, you:
  • Have already built Elixir-based platforms running in production
  • Gave deep understanding of Erlang/OTP or familiarity with any other BEAM based language
  • Production experience with technologies around XML (XSD, XSLT, WSDL)
  • Any history in building data-intensive systems
  • Production experience with any other functional language
  • Have already been in a similar role
